Cookie & Tracking Technologies Disclosure

1. Purpose

This Disclosure explains how Clasp uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when Customers and Users access the Service. This Disclosure is a required policy attachment to the Clasp Master Services Agreement (MSA).

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on a User’s device to support core functionality such as authentication, session management, and security. Clasp uses only the cookies necessary to operate the Service.

Clasp does not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or cross-site tracking technologies.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies We Use

3.1 Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for the Service to function. Users cannot opt out of these cookies without disabling core features.

Essential cookies include:

  • Session Cookies — maintain active login sessions.

  • Authentication Cookies — support OTP-based login and identity verification.

  • Security Cookies — support CSRF protection and other security controls.

  • Load Balancer Cookies — used by Google Cloud Platform to route traffic.

3.2 Functional Cookies

Clasp does not use optional functional cookies.

3.3 Analytics and Performance Cookies

Clasp does not use analytics cookies or performance tracking cookies.

3.4 Third-Party Cookies

Clasp does not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies.

Some subprocessors may set essential cookies strictly necessary for their operation, such as:

  • Supabase (authentication and session management)

  • Google Cloud Platform (load balancing)

These cookies do not track behavior across websites.

4. Tracking Technologies We Use

Clasp uses limited tracking technologies necessary to operate the Service:

  • OCR Processing — extracts text for indexing and search; does not track Users.

  • Metadata Generation — supports search relevance; does not track behavior.

  • System Logs — record metadata for security and operational purposes.

Clasp does not use:

  • behavioral tracking;

  • advertising pixels;

  • marketing beacons;

  • cross-site tracking technologies.

5. User Controls

Users may control cookie behavior through browser settings, including:

  • blocking non-essential cookies;

  • clearing stored cookies;

  • managing site permissions.

Blocking essential cookies may prevent access to the Service. Clasp does not provide in-product cookie management tools.

6. AI-Assisted Functionality

Clasp’s AI-assisted features operate on metadata and embeddings only. Clasp does not transmit document text or Customer Data to external large language models.

AI-assisted functionality does not use cookies for behavioral tracking.

7. Updates

Clasp may update this Disclosure at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Disclosure.
